Allowing others to find your site can be done in a variety of ways. The two most common methods are:
I've provided this short cut to add or update your site information to various search engines, directories, and as well to other Native pages.
Native Pages
These are Native Sites that rely on the use of an online form submission. They, for the most part, only accept or add sites of interest to Native or Indigenous People.Search Engines
These are links to the add/submit pages for the various search engines on the internet. Some search engine spiders require meta tags to index your site properly. You can use the Meta Tag Generator to help you create tags for your site.Directories
For most directories, you must first find the proper category and then submit your site for inclusion. These directory links take you to the top, so you must find your specfic category, then add your site.
Placing your site in Netscape's Open Directory will also eventually place your site in all the directory sites listed here, giving your site even more exposure. These sites use the Open Directory Database for their own directory pages.Where's ???
Some search engines do not require sites to be added AskJeeves, DogPile, MetaCrawler, etc. scan other search engines for their contents, so eventually your site will get listed with these types of sites. Some directories operate on a system where you pay for actual click-throughs to your site. Examples of these sites, not listed here, are Kanoodle and GoTo.
Short cut hints: use the copy (CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) method to avoid repeatedly typing your URL and email address.
